How you need to prepare to receive your puppy at the airport.

Oh, yes. You are very excited now.
Your puppy is about the departure to your country and soon will be ready for the pickup.
So, is everything fine? Or not? Or you simply don't know.

First, don't worry. If you and your Customs Broker got all of the needed documents and your puppy is departed from BUD airport then everything is fine about the shipping.
You only need to do a few things.
First, at the airport you need to show your personal ID for the pick up.
IMPORTANT: only that person can pick up the puppy who's name was written in the shipping documents. In another case you need to have a power of attorney.
Second thing is also very important. This is about the first meet and the travel to your home with your new puppy.
1: Please don't forget, your puppy just arrived after a long trip to your country. Every puppy and dog tolerates shipping in a little bit different way. So your puppy probably will be tired and a little bit huffy. This is normal. Your puppy arrived at a new place and she had to meet a new owner. Please be patient with with your puppy!
2: Please give some water to your puppy. This is the first step in your friendship. This is very important!
Solid food (dog food) at the airport is usually not recommended, or only a small amount!
3: Also we recommend some honey. Yes, this seems interesting and something special.
But as we wrote, your puppy is after a long and tiring journey. This can give them little extra energy and be beneficial for them!
4: We recommend it to everybody, please give your puppy a new toy and a blanket.
5: During the rest of the trip to your home (for example with a car) please take a break, give your puppy water again, and pet her/him. That is better if somebody can also be with you.
6: VERY IMPORTANT: please do not give a lot of food to your puppy after you get home.
We recommend less food in more pieces (4 small menus per day is the best).
7: In the first few days, we recommended a calm and separated space for your puppy with your supervision.
If there is another dog please take care of them. Not in all cases will they be best friends in the first moment!
8: Their daily dose from their dog food is 40 gram per day. Royal Canin or other quality food is recommended!
9: Don't forget that you have to give her a vaccination against rabies again after a while (probably once a year). For details please ask your veterinarian.
